China Visa

China visa

1. China visa is a certification issued through Chinese embassies and consulates overseas to foreigner who wants to enter into, exit from or transit through the Chinese territory. passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the duration of their intended stay. In China, Not all the areas are open to foreign travelers. Some territory foreign travelers must apply for a special travel-permit to get into. Such as Tibet in southwest China (more information you can find in point 5 below).

Point 1. Types of China visa

1. Types	Validity	Duration	Availability
   Single-Entry Visa	3 months	30 days	Single-Entry Visa will allow you to travel as a tourist or conduct general business activities. Most people need only to apply for a single-entry.
   Double-Entry Visa	3 months	30 days	If you need to leave and re-enter mainland China, you need to have a double-entry visa. Please pay attention to that, leaving from Mainland China for Hong Kong and Macau and you want to re-enter Mainland China again, a double-entry visa is your must.

Point 2. Nine sub-categories, which are respectively marked with Chinese phonetic letters.

   F	business visa
   Z	work visa
   X	student visa
   C	crew visa
   G	transit visa
   D	resident visa
   J-1	journalist visa
   J-2	journalist visa

Point 3, General Requirements for Applying for a China Visa:

1. 1. A completed Visa Application Form.        Download the Visa Application Form (PDF) here
2. 2. Two passport size photos showing applicant's full front face.
3. 3. Current Passport that is valid for a minimum of six months from the date of travel. The passport must also have a more than two blank visa pages.
4. 4. Submitting documents which explain one's reasons to enter China.

Point 4. The regular channels to apply for a China Visa:

1. 1, Applicants should come in person or through a third party (e.g. Travel Agent or Tour Operator) to apply for the China visa during office hours in Chinese Embassy in the country you live. Usually, the processing time is about 5- 7 working days.
2. 2, Applications by Mail: It takes 2 weeks to process the application, so there is no same day or express day service. It is advised that your passport(s) should be sent by registered post for security and proof of posting needs to be kept. Enclose a self-addressed envelope, the visa application form and payment.

Point 5. Special Travel-permit for China Tibet Tour

1. For a Tibet tour in southwest China, Foreign travelers need to have a China Visa First, and then a special Tibet Travel-permit as well.
2. Please make in mind that Tibet Travel-permit is only issued by Tibet Tourism Bureau which is regulated by National Tourism Administration, and it can only be obtained through travel agencies.
3. The general required documents are:
4. 1, Copy of A valid China tourist Visa.
5. 2, Copy of your passport (clear).
6. 3, Full names, gender, Date of Birth, Passport number, nationality, occupation;

Point 6. How to have my visa extended?

1. Foreigners who want to stay in China beyond the duration of their visa need to apply for an extension. The visa extension application should be a form submitted to the Local Public Security Bureau 7 days before the expiration date of the visa.
2. Visitors traveling with a group on a group visa and who want to stay longer than the group should apply for an individual visa.
3. Visitors who want their visa to be extended should provide the following evidential materials:

7. The length of the extension depends on the type of visa, and the multiple entry visas can not be extended
