This is a wonderful tour along the Silk Road and you'll have a special experience of ride the bicycle through the Desert Taklamakan for 5 days. Taklamakan is the large desert, famous for its scenery in the world. The charming of this region is the Silk Road, which is north and south along the edge of the Taklamakan. Over centuries trade caravans passed by these cities. Although many of the cities are vanished, only left the ruins, some still showed its spirit today.

In the morning arrive in Urumqi, the capital of the Xinjiang Province. Greeted by the local guide and transferred to hotel. The rest time is free for you.

You will visit the Xingjiang Museum and the Great Bazaar. In the afternoon take bus to Turpan, a very important station and trade centre in the Silk Road. Visiting the Karez-the underground water system and the Emin Mosque.

In the morning take the bus to Luntai, the beginning of the desert road. After lunch ride the bicycle about 30 km continue to travel. At night you can also enjoy the sunset in the desert.

Along the south bank of the Taklamakan to Kashgar. The south route of the Silk Road is the oldest part of this trade road and it was good kept because of the blocking.

Take bus along the Karakorum Highway to the 3.600 m high Karakul Lake which lies at the foot of 7.546 m high Muztag Peak - the “father of all ice mountain”, will provide you a good experience. Then back to Kashgar. |
