China has 56 ethnic groups, and most of them live in south of China – especially Guizhou and Yunnan Province, which will show you different cultures. IArrive in Kunming, the capital of the Yunnan Province. The city has 2 million inhabitants and lies in a height of 2000 m. The average temperature is about 24°C in the whole year. Yunnan is the province has the most ethnic groups in China. Over 20 ethnic minorities live here. Be greeted by the local guide and transferred to hotel. Then visit the Yuantong Temple.

Take bus from Kunming to Dali (390 km). Dali is the capital of the powerful imperial of Nan Zhao in the 8th Century. The city is with wonderful land scenery between 4000 m high Cangshan Mountain and the Erhai Lake. After arrival you will visit the Three Pagodas.

Take bus to Lijiang (about.210 Km), which lies in the Naxi Autonomous Region, a wonderful city in Yunnan province. There you will learn the culture and the daily life of the ethnic groups. The typical wooden house with wonderful curve at the door, windows and roof will give you a deep impression. After arrival you can make a city tour through the old city - Lijiang (UNESCO).

Visiting the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain (Yulong Xue Shan) and Baisha, the capital of the Naxi in ancient times. Not far away from Lijiang lies the famous resident of Naxi ruler from 14th to 17th Century with the Dabaoji Hall. Visiting the Baiyulou, a pavilion in the middle of the Dark Dragon Lake like the "Dragon Emperor Temple” and the Fayun Pavilion at the bank of the lake. |
