The New Year celebration ("guonian" in Chinese), also called Spring Festival ("chunjie" in Chinese), is the most important festival for Chinese. according to the traditional Chinese lunar calendar. You will see what the people today always do: prepare for the New Year's banquet, paste the Spring Festival couplets, light the fireworks

Today is the first day of the Spring Festival. The climax of this day is that whole family have the lunch together. You will visit a Chinese peasant's family, under a roof there are the second and the third generation together. You will learn how to make dumplings, a kind of loved food in north of China. And you can also try other specialties. Late afternoon, transfer to the hotel.

In the morning fly to Guilin. In the afternoon visit the Reed Flute Caves.

Take the boat at the Li River through the wonderful scenery to Yangshuo. In the afternoon take the bus back to Guilin. |

It is free for you to enjoy the wonderful scenery. In the afternoon fly to Shanghai which is a modern city with 17 Millions inhabitants. It is a very great city, and also a center of industry and trade. You will go to the famous shopping center of China, the Nanjing Road, where there is a length of 4 km about 400 shopping houses gathered together.
